It’s all about the drums

Here is a photo of JT andTed heading out to the stands at the first football game of the season.

Heading to the stands.

Francesca and……….

August15

They are, of course, gorgeous. Francesca is the more petite hen, with the darker coloring. They both feel like silk. I could spend lots of time just petting chickens. Who knew?

Here are the chickens in my foyer.
Fortunately these are egg producers, not future nuggets!

Greg and Sheri with their newest additions to the family.
Sheri didn’t know that Greg planned to be a farmer when he grew up. When he was small he worried that if he got married a wife would eat all his crops. Now he realizes that a wife is worth her weight in veggies!

Greg is pleased with his new chickens!
I was amazed at how much my son looks like my dad. They have the same winning smile…and the same love of animals.

New family members!

I am quite excited to announce that I have not one but TWO new grandchickens! My son has acquired two Rhode Island Reds and is bringing them over to meet me. He is also going to gather up some of his wood from my house so he can build a coop and roost.

I’ve started a new art quilt entitled “Greg Gets a Chicken”. Check back, I’ll post photos of the chickens and the quilt in process!
